The Five-Minute Beauty Regimen

Life today can get pretty hectic. Sometimes it seems like there is no way to look your best when you are on the go. Women today have so many roles to fill that it can be exhausting to keep up, much less take time out to apply make up. However, there are a few beauty tips that can significantly reduce the amount of time that you need to get ready in the morning. And these tips are easy to touch up throughout the day whenever you have a minute or two.

Hide those unwanted dark patches and blemishes with a quick dab of concealing stick or powder. Working only on the specific area would take an even lesser time. Here, it is important to remember that you only use a product that matches you natural skin color. Doing away with red eyes is easy. Visine drops do great job. These days you even get the ones that work with contact lenses.

There is no reason to hide your eyes with a ton of eye shadow and mascara. Simply choose a color that complements your outfit and only apply one layer of mascara. If you don't even have time for the eye shadow, a quick mascara application will bring out your eyes just enough.

It is a good idea to use lip gloss instead of lipstick. It gives a soft look to lips, without fading or smearing noticeably, and you can reapply without a mirror if you need to. It helps to accent your lips naturally, making you feel better about yourself. You may want to try a flavored gloss for a more fun and flirty look and feel.

Agreed hair is the problem area when you need to get ready in a blink. We have a solution for that as well. Keep ready a choice of pins and back clips at your disposal. You can use them to put your hair up in actually just a blink. Then secure the fly-aways with a mild non-stick hair spray and you are ready for the go.

To save more on time consider taking a shower at night. Wash and dry your hair at night and simply run-through a brush in the morning if you are not putting them up. The Japanese often use this time saver and avoid sleeping in the filth of the day.

For the finishing touch, use body spray or a little perfume that is light and pleasing. Make sure it is not overpowering. It will make you smell fresh and professional.

Forget about trying to look the stunning beauty queen everyday in the morning. A five to seven minute beauty regime definitely enhances your natural looks and makes you look more professional. These little magic tricks would add to natural beauty rather than miserably trying to reinvent it.

Watch Out For These Essential Oil Traps:

  • Never use pure essential oils on the skin (neat). Dilute them with a carrier or disperse in water.
  • Never take orally unless under the supervision of a doctor.
  • If you are pregnant, AVOID, oils of aniseed, basil, clary sage, cedarwood, cinnamon, clove, hyssop, jasmine, juniper, marjoram, myrrh, pennyroyal, sage, thyme, fennel, peppermint, rose or rosemary.
  • Bergamot and citrus oils cause your skin to become sun sensitive, so avoid sunbathing when using.
  • Keep all oils out of reach of children.
  • When adding pure essential oils to bath, disperse (move water with your hands) before getting in. If the oils "puddle" where you are getting in, they may irritate the skin.
  • Essential oils are potent. A few drops do a lot.
  • Because allergic reactions can occur with any herbal or botanical ingredient, any preparation should be tested in a small area of the skin before using.
  • If using a homeopathic remedy check with your homeopathic physician before using. Some oils may counteract your treatments.
